What a great day today learning some hoop dancing with Jerrhan First Charger and then having a great assembly at the end of the day with a fabulous hoop dancing demonstration. The students really enjoyed watching and learning more about indiginous ways of knowing and being. Thanks Jerrhan!
PLEASE READ: The last day of school is next Thursday, June 26 and will be an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY 1:15pm
Sports Day | Friday, June 20 | 9:30 – 12:30 (Tomorrow)
Our annual Sports Day will be held on Friday, June 20. Students will be placed in groups of 40 and will rotate through the seven stations outside. One of our stations includes the FitSet Ninja obstacle course! Thank you to AMPA for providing the funds for FitSet, frozen treat and helping run the Chill Zone. In case of bad weather, we will run the FitSet course inside. The forecast is predicting light rain in the morning with the rain getting heavier in the afternoon. We will proceed with an outdoor sports day if the rain is light so, please dress for outdoor play on Friday. If it is pouring, then we will go with the indoor plan. See the attached parent letter for more information.
Fun Lunch – June 24 – Booster Juice
Our last fun lunch of the year will be on Tuesday, June 24. Please go to healthyhunger.ca to order. The deadline to order tonight at 11:59pm. A special thanks to AMPA and fun lunch coordinator, Katrina Smith, for organizing all of the fun lunches this year.

Back to School 2025-26
Please check our website for back to school 2025-26 information. https://alexmunro.cbe.ab.ca/back-to-school.
Lost and Found
We wanted to let families know that we do have many items in the lost and found. These items will be donated at the end of the year if they are not collected by families. We will be sure to invite students to peruse the lost and found. You are also welcome to visit the school to see if there are items belonging to your child.
Our Adopt-A-Plant Program
Our Adopt-A-Plant program for students is live! This program is to celebrate and carry forward the great work students have done this year in planting and caring for their naturalization space. Anyone can participate in keeping these new plants healthy by helping to water them throughout the summer, using the watering can provided at the water barrel. If students would like to 'adopt' their own plant, they can pick up a welcome bag from Ms. Best and care for their plant over summer. They can return their completed plant book in fall for a thank you prize!
Parent Garden Volunteers
We are also looking for help from parents over the summer weeks to give more targeted care to the naturalization space. Watering, fertilizing, weeding, and occasional mowing are the key tasks for which we can use all hands on deck! Novices are welcome and our garden chair is available to walk you through the process. Please connect with Sara Baker at saralindsaybaker@gmail.com if you are able to help for one or two weeks over summer break. As much or as little as you can do can help our space be the best it can be!
