One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. Welcome from the Alex Munro Parent Associations (AMPA) Did you know all parents and guardians with a child registered at Alex Munro School are automatically members of AMPA? It’s true! Come to our monthly meetings to hear updates from School Administration and to become a part of the conversation and decision making. AMPA takes on the responsibility of fundraising and organizing school events.
The society is responsible for organizing Fun Lunches at the school. Please go to www.healthyhunger.ca to register and order.
Parent Society meetings follow School Council meetings.
