As we come to the close of another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to thank our entire school community for making Alex Munro such a special place to learn, grow, and belong.

To our incredible students—thank you for the energy, curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm you bring to school each day. Your accomplishments, friendships, and growth throughout the year are what make our school such a vibrant and joyful place.

To our dedicated teachers and staff—thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and families. Your care, expertise, and passion create the supportive learning environment that helps every child succeed. The impact you make each day extends far beyond the classroom.

To our parents, guardians, and volunteers—thank you for your partnership and for the countless ways you support our school. Whether volunteering your time, attending events, or supporting learning at home, your involvement strengthens our entire community.

A special thank you to AMPA for your continued generosity, leadership, and support. This year, your contributions helped provide transportation for field trips, exciting events such as our Block Party and school dances, and numerous guest presenters and residency programs that enriched learning opportunities for our students. Your efforts have helped create lasting memories and meaningful experiences for our children.

As we look ahead, we are especially excited to welcome families from the Carrington community to Alex Munro School for the 2026-27 school year. We are thrilled that our school community will continue to grow. With this growth comes new opportunities, new friendships, and new experiences for our students. We are also excited to welcome many outstanding new teachers who will be joining our team and helping us continue to provide exceptional learning experiences for all students. See the staffing updates below for details.

While change brings excitement, what will remain the same is our strong commitment to student success, equity, belonging, and the supportive culture that makes Alex Munro such a wonderful school community.

Thank you for being part of another successful year. On behalf of our entire staff, I wish you and your family a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer filled with wonderful memories.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on August 31!

Taking Care of our Garden and Adopt a Plant
Thank you to everyone who helped us till and plant the grassy northwest hill last weekend! It was a beautiful sunny day, and a lot of fun was had.

Please help us keep the growing going!

The Adopt-A-Plant program will be running all summer - students can sign up to check in on their favourite flowers over summer and use the water barrel in the area to keep our green friends happy. Plant care kits with instructions will be available from Ms. Best for anyone who would like to Adopt-A-Plant in our garden space over the summer.

Parent volunteers are also needed to help our garden thrive. Please consider signing up for a week this summer - enjoy the fresh air with your family and help us weed and water! Choose a week here:
