The students had another great week learning the fundamentals of soccer from Coach Scott. Thanks Coach Scott for all the great soccer skills that you taught us! Students have also been excited about all the great field trips that they have been going on over the last few weeks. We wanted to let families know that we do have many items in the lost and found. These items will be donated after June 21st if they are not collected by families. We will be sure to invite students to peruse the lost and found. You are also welcome to visit the school to see if there are items belonging to your child. New Before and After School Childcare starting this Fall | Grades 1-6
Alex Munro School is pleased to be welcoming a new before and after school childcare program for grades 1-6 that will be run onsite in the Alex Munro School gym by Active Minds Childcare Inc. “Active Minds is committed to providing an enriching environment for children, that goes beyond the classroom. We believe that high quality, affordable, and developmentally appropriate programs should be available to all children and their families. AMPA would like to remind everyone that they continue to accept empty bottles every Friday. All you need to do is leave your bag of empties at the front of the school. Having the opportunity to provide volunteers to support casino operations is an important fundraiser for organizations such as schools as it brings in significant funds that go directly to improving student learning experiences. Please save these dates in your calendar as AMPA will require numerous volunteers for both dates (day and night shifts).
