Many students came to school in their brand-new green hoodies today! The bright green looks great on the students and staff. Thank you, parent council, for providing us with the opportunity to purchase awesome school hoodies!

PASS Soccer Residency
We are pleased to offer soccer instruction again this year through PASS Soccer on May 27, 29 and June 3 and 5, to all students in grades 1-6. Participation in this opportunity is the student’s regular daily P.E. experience. There is no cost to families and will be generously paid for by AMPA.  The experience is fun, active, and meets curriculum outcomes for all grades.  This opportunity will be led by experienced soccer coach, Scott Irons.

Patrol Picnic at Heritage Park – Volunteers Needed
Our AMA patrollers are capping off a great year with a trip to the AMA patroller picnic at Heritage Park on June 6.  If you are a patrol parent or another willing parent with a completed volunteer registration and Calgary Police ePIC clearance, and are interested in coming as a volunteer, please email Ms. Sasha at slgardiner@cbe.ab.ca More information to follow for student patrollers.

Lost and Found
We wanted to let families know that we do have many items in the lost and found.  These items will be donated at the end of the year if they are not collected by families.  We will be sure to invite students to peruse the lost and found.  You are also welcome to visit the school to see if there are items belonging to your child.

AMPA Bottle Drive Fridays
AMPA would like to remind everyone that they continue to accept empty bottles every Friday.  All you need to do is leave your bag of empties at the front of the school on Fridays. Thank you everyone who has been donating their bottles this year. We appreciate your support.

Community Garden/Naturalization Clean Up – May 25 1-3pm (This Saturday!!)
We are looking forward to getting our garden in top shape next weekend (May 25). We will be raking, fertilizing and preparing the raised beds for students to plant later in their classes. Please save your eggshells and small bones like chicken and fish bones as we will be making our own bone meal and liquid fertilizer. It should be a sunny, beautiful day, and we will have a treat for the kids to enjoy after finishing their hard work. Bring your family out and enjoy digging in the dirt!

Please note there will be no washrooms available for these two hours so be sure to go before you go!
