Welcome Back! We hope everyone had a great Winter Break. It was great to see all the students again; they were happy to be back at school learning and seeing all their friends.

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-25 school year begins January 15, 2024. Registration is completed online. More information is located here: https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/default.aspx

Extreme Weather
When the temperature is below minus 20 degrees Celsius, students may enter in the morning at 8:35 AM.  We noticed that some students are arriving before this time.  Please ensure that you do not arrive prior to 8:35 AM as there is no teacher supervision before this time.  Thanks for your help with reminding students to do up coats, and wear hats, mittens and snow pants in extreme weather and we will do the same at school. 

Fees
All school fees and field trip fees can be viewed by logging into your MyCBE account. Most of the yearly fees are added to accounts in the fall, however, some fees (such as field trip fees) are added to your account throughout the school year. You may login to your MyCBE account to view which fees are paid and/or are outstanding. For more information on school fees please refer to the CBE fees website. 

Sir John Franklin School | Arts Centred Learning
Sir John Franklin School Offers a unique learning environment as the Arts Centred Learning alternative program for students in Grades 5-9 who reside in North Calgary. For students who are creative, have a genuine interest in the Arts or prefer expressing their understanding in multiple ways -SJF might be for them! Calgary Winter Information Fair
Whether you're new to the city or a long-time resident, this in-person event is the perfect opportunity to discover all of the essentials of being prepared for the winter and the exciting happenings during the chilly season.
