What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend we had! Hope everyone was able to have some nice family time together. It was great to hear stories from many of the students about connecting with various relatives as well as stories of Thanksgiving dinner celebrations. 

Safety Patrols
There will be a pause on Safety Patrols for Oct 16-19 as our grade 6 students will be away at outdoor school. 

Tim Horton’s Ranch Outdoor School – Grade 6

Our grade 6 students and teachers will be going for a multi-day overnight field trip next week from Oct 16-19. This is a great experience that will bring the students closer together through team building, collaborative games and activities, as well as developing character and responsibility.  They will also be living, learning and playing in the majestic Rocky Mountains for 4 days!  The students are really excited for this opportunity.   

Fall Clean-Up (This Weekend!)
Come out with your family and help make our beautiful naturalization space winter ready. We will be raking, picking up garbage and fertilizing. We will learn to make our own bone meal so bring along your small bones (from your turkey dinners), eggshells and coffee grounds! There will be garden-related activities for the kids and a special treat to warm up! Join us Saturday October 14th between 1:00-3:30 and stay for as little or as long as you can. 

AMPA Halloween Dance (Save the Date!)
AMPA will be hosting a family Halloween dance on Oct 26 in the evening.  More details coming soon! 

October AMPA Meeting
The October Alex Munro Parent Association meeting will be held on Oct 16 at 6:15pm virtually on Teams. All parents are invited to attend. Attending these meetings is a great way to be involved in and contribute to the important ways the parent council supports the students at Alex Munro.
