First, I would like to extend a huge welcome to all of the Carrington families joining our school community! As our Huntington Hills families already know and have experienced, your children are going to thrive at Alex Munro School. We are so excited to welcome you and your families and to build a strong, connected community together.
Alex Munro is a place where every student is welcomed, valued, and knows they belong. We have an incredible staff who are relentlessly focused on creating a school that feels like a second home—a place where students can be themselves, discover their strengths, push their limits, and grow both as learners and as citizens.
We are incredibly excited about the year ahead as our two communities come together and create a positive and inclusive school culture. In our front hallway, you will see two simple but powerful words painted on the wall:

Those words will certainly come to life this year as we welcome Carrington and continue to strengthen the wonderful community we already have at Alex Munro.
Weekly Updates
Every Thursday, you will receive a weekly update from the school administration. These updates will include important information and dates, celebrations and stories of success, and other things happening around our school. We hope these updates will help you stay connected to all that is happening at Alex Munro.
Getting Ready for the First Day
The first day of school for students is Monday, August 31. Teachers will be on the compound area to greet families and students starting a 9:00am. Our morning bell is at 9:14am and the students will enter the school as a class with their teacher at this time.
Tomorrow, you will receive a communication from your child's teacher introducing themselves and sharing important information about the first day of school and arrival procedures including which door to meet their teacher at. This communication may include a phone call followed by an email, so please keep an eye on your inbox and voicemail.
If you do not receive an email from your child's teacher by the end of the day tomorrow, please contact the school office at 403-777-6600 and we will make sure you receive the information you need.
If your circumstances have changed over the summer and your child will no longer be attending Alex Munro School, please contact the office as soon as possible. This will allow us to update our class lists before students arrive on Monday.
